Join us for a screening of the documentary Zurawski v. Texas, followed by a panel discussion. This special event is held in conjunction with NCJW’s 2025 Repro Shabbat, an annual event occurring around the time the Jewish community reads Parshat Mishpatim and honors its commitment to reproductive freedom.

Rabbi Nancy Kasten, Chief Relationship Officer at Faith Commons
Rabbi Nancy Kasten is a Reform rabbi, a community educator, volunteer and activist, as well as a certified Jewish Mindfulness Meditation Teacher. Since moving to Dallas in 1990, Nancy has led, taught, consulted and organized in Jewish, interfaith and secular settings locally, nationally and internationally. She chose her title of Chief Relationship Officer when she joined Faith Commons because she has the most fun when making connections with and among others. CONTINUE READING HERE.
Dr. Kim Vernon, OB-GYN, Vernon & Waldrep OB-Gyn Associates
Kim D Vernon, M.D. is one of the founding partners of Vernon & Waldrep Ob-Gyn Associates. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Ob-Gyn. Dr. Vernon was born and raised in Dallas and did her undergraduate studies at UT Austin, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Vernon attended Medical School at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed her residency in Ob-Gyn at St. Paul Hospital and UTSW Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Vernon has served in numerous leadership roles in her career at Medical City. She has served as the Medical City Chief Ob-Gyn Section, Ob-Gyn Department Chair at Medical City Dallas, and President of the Medical Staff at Medical City Dallas.
Dr. Vernon is passionate about women’s rights and health issues and provides exceptional healthcare to women of all ages. She believes in establishing relationships with all her patients based on open communication and quality medical care. Rev. Deneen Robinson, Executive Director of Truth Pregnancy Resource Center
Deneen currently serves as the Executive Director for Truth Pregnancy Resource Center. In this role, she gets to use her work in ministry to serve and create change on behalf of those most marginalized and, their families, and the larger community. While working, Deneen serves as the current Pastor of Church in the Cliff, Dallas, TX – a progressive congregation that uses a reproductive justice framework to guide its ministry and service to community.
