For the last five years, antisemitism has been on the rise throughout the United States. In 2021, there were a record 2717 incidents of hate against Jews in America, with 112 in Texas – one every three days. Just a little over a year ago, four hostages were held for hours at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, “a monumental event” for Jews in North Texas.
Leah White, the Associate Regional Director for the Antidefamation League’s (ADL) Texoma office will discuss both the status of antisemitism in North Texas and what the ADL is doing to address it in the DFW area.

White is ADL’s primary contact for law enforcement agencies throughout the DFW metroplex, for coordinating ADL’s legislative work and lobbying efforts in Texas, and leading statewide and regional programming.
ADL is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment for all.
As associate regional director, Leah is responsible for managing the incident response database and annual Audit of Antisemitic Incidents, coordinating programs for the region including young leadership and community-focused antisemitism programming, serving as ADL’s primary contact for law enforcement agencies throughout the DFW metroplex, coordinating ADL’s legislative work and lobbying efforts in Texas, and leading statewide programming.
Leah earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of North Texas and a Master of Social Work specializing in non-profit administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. Leah is a native of El Paso, Texas, and currently resides in Plano with her husband and two daughters.
