MISSION STATEMENT
The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.
WHO WE ARE
NCJW Dallas’ work reflects the spirit of the organization itself – a faith in the future; a belief in action. Through education, community impact programs, advocacy and collaboration, we work to address the needs of all peoples and faiths within our community. Our advocacy efforts aim to correct the systemic causes of the social problems we encounter. We dare to have a vision about what is possible.
NCJW built its national legacy by stepping forward and speaking out on crucial issues years before others followed its courageous example. The national organization has offices in New York and Washington D.C. Members and supporters across the country work together to support reproductive rights, individual and civil liberties, separation of religion and state, and the well-being of women, children, and families.
NCJW Dallas is devoted to making a positive difference in the lives of women, children and families in the Dallas community, responding to public needs with innovation and dedication. Over 1,200 members devote thousands of hours to community service projects as well as to research, education, and advocacy to advance NCJW’s mission.
