The Bully, the Bullied and the Bystander A Discussion of Bullying , Dec 8, 2011

The Bully, the Bullied, and the Bystander by Barbara Coloroso and
Dear Bully: Seventy Authors Tell Their Stories by Megan Hall
and Carrie Jones,
as references, Rabbi Ana Bonnheim, assistant director of the URJ Greene Family Camp, will facilitate the 9:30 a.m. discussion, and Dr. Caren Edelstein, educational consultant and former Highland Park McCullough Intermediate School principal, will facilitate at 7:00 p.m.

This study group will focus on peer-to-peer bullying in schools and other institutions, and explore the increase in bullying, how educational institutions are addressing bullying, and how can we teach our children to respect and value their peers. Furthermore, we will look at how we, as a community, can reach out to both those who are bullied and to the bullies.

This program is free of charge for members and $5.00 (pay at door) for non-members, but reservations are required . Please RSVP by December 6.
