NCJW Day on the Hill Feb. 16-17

Texas State CapitolEvery legislative session, NCJW heads to Austin to put our mission into action, speaking out to improve the quality of life for women, children and families and to safeguard individual rights and freedoms. Now more than ever women’s rights and welfare are at stake. Reproductive freedom and economic equality are rights, not a privilege. We cannot sit idly by and let the rights we have fought so hard for in the past be taken away. Now more than ever, our government needs to hear our voices. Join the chorus.

Session begins Monday, February 16, 2015, at noon with workshops and speakers to help us get our message out. Monday evening is an awards banquet with an amazing line up of speakers. At the banquet, we will honor the Honorable Clay Jenkins, Dallas County Judge, with the 2015 Texas Trailblazer Award, and Greater Dallas Section member Cheryl Pollman with the 2015 Belief in Action award.

Tuesday, February 17, we go to the Hill to get our message out of who we are, whom we represent, and what we stand for. We will provide training and support in these efforts for new and seasoned advocates. Cost of attendance is $125.00 for dinner and workshops. Click here to sign up. You can also send a check for $125 to the NCJW Greater Dallas office.

Our base in Austin is the Omni Hotel Downtown Austin, 700 San Jacinto Blvd., Austin, TX 78701. Group room rate is $209.00 for a single, and $229.00 for a double.
