Saralynn Busch received the Janis Levine Music Make a Difference Award which honors the memory of Janis Levine Music, an NCJW leader who gave of herself with dignity and kindness of spirit. Saralynn’s longtime service to NCJW includes leadership positions as PACE Committee Chair, Community Service Vice President, and Chair of the Nominating Committee. As did Janis Levine Music, Saralynn personifies volunteerism at its best, bringing enthusiasm, energy and intelligence, willingness to work without personal recognition, and determination to make a difference wherever she serves.

Joyce Klein Goldberg and Debra Levy-Fritts were recognized as Emerging Leaders who have demonstrated commitment to the organization and potential to be future Section leaders. Among their other NCJW roles, Joyce has recently served as Co-Chair of the PACE Committee and Debra is currently Co-Chair of our Food+Fit=Fun project.

CitySquare and its CEO Larry James were the inaugural recipients of the Pioneering Partner Award, established to honor non-members who have made major contributions to the Dallas community consistent with NCJW’s mission and initiatives. CitySquare is a faith-based, human and community development corporation working in some of Dallas’ most economically challenged inner city neighborhoods. Among its programs are education, a public interest law firm, affordable workforce housing, delivery of summer lunch programs, housing interventions for the homeless, immigration advocacy, and spiritual development to those living in tough inner city environments.
