The Sky’s The Limit! – Theme for 2011
Over our decades of service in the Dallas community NCJW has made a significant impact. You are probably familiar with community institutions such as Literacy Instruction for Texas (LIFT), Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), and Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY), to name a few, started by NCJW. This past year we were honored by CASA as they celebrated their 30th anniversary, and by LIFT, who named NCJW one of their 50 “Champions of Literacy.” We have continued that proud tradition with three of our latest locally developed and implemented projects: Women’s Access to Comprehensive Health Services (WACHS), Food+Fit=Fun, and the “With One Voice” coalition.
At NCJW, we say “The Sky’s the Limit!”
With the continuing economic downturn, there is an increasing need for services, while there are fewer and fewer dollars available to provide those services. Each of us has tough choices to make when determining where to spend our charitable dollars. Please know that NCJW is expert at stretching every dollar so that your donation will go further than you ever thought possible. With a budget of approximately $200,000 and just one part-time employee, we provide not only a variety of successful and much-needed community services, but also strong advocacy and critical education – two components rarely provided by other non-profit service organizations. Our dedicated volunteers give thousands of hours of service, ensuring that our projects and programs make a real difference in the lives of the women, children, and families we serve.
This year we hope that you will open your heart to make a personally significant gift to the NCJW fundraising campaign, “The Sky’s the Limit!” Please pledge your financial support now, and help NCJW continue developing and providing much-needed programs and services in our community as we seek a Greater Dallas. All donations received by November 18, 2011 will be recognized in our January Bulletin … and the big news is that donors at the level of $500 and above will be invited to the Patron Reception prior to a very exciting NCJW event planned for the spring. This event will feature Mark Elfenbein, CBS Sports Radio host and commentator and longtime Dallas sports talk personality, who will be bringing a mystery sports celebrity or two. Your patron level donation, teamed up with this exciting event, is a “win-win” situation for us all!
